As I read it, it's basically a huge conga line of 20+ dwarves carrying bits of garbage to the new refuse pile.

This, except it was 50+ dwarves and this is the butt end of the congo line as I witnessed it. I wanted to post it because when you're bored as hell managing your fort, little things like this are hilarious.

I'm using Mayday from the lazy newb pack.
