My cousins and I were talking about the TIS today, and I wondered how easily it could be implemented in hardware...

my personal feeling is to veer away from the use of FPGAs and rather use more era*-appropriate chips

*1972-1979, according to the boot screen

I just wanted to jump and say that this game literally makes my head ache every time I play it. Also, because I didn't read the manual properly, I didn't know you could use the 'mov' command with numbers for the first few puzzles, so I did silly things like this:

You can see I had a whole routine for turning 2s into 1s and -2s into -1s. I guess I was in the spacechem mindset where data can be moved and manipulated but couldn't be created from nothing.
