Attracting new players from imageboards.
« on: July 23, 2015, 01:32:44 am »

My last community fortress on a Finnish imageboard got some new people curious about Dwarf Fortress, and I think this is an all-around good method of promoting the game. Pretty much everyone agrees that Dwarf Fortress stories are interesting, but very few go outside their usual circles to read them.

Based on that, I started a new succession game at https://www.ponychan.net/anon/res/532811.html with the My Little Fortress mod. Unfortunately, turns out most sites have only few people who can play, so I decided to make a thread for enlisting players to keep the succession fortress threads going on their respective boards.

If you need help keeping a community game on another site going, post a link here and hopefully someone can give a hand by playing a turn in it.

This will probably see more love on the Community Games and Stories board

Welcome to Dwarf Fortress. Where peaceful death of old age is something nobody sees coming.
it turns out Dog Bone Doctors aren't very good at doctoring.
