If you put a dwarf with hunting enabled in a squad with armour that does not include a crossbow, does that avoid equipment issues?

EDIT: Nope.

You can put hunters in squads that are assigned no uniform, over clothes, AND set to wear civilian clothes when off duty. Same goes for miners and woodcutters. They drop their weapons most of the time if you order them to attack or station them anywhere. The only utility of this is they do individual combat drills at an assigned barracks with their picks or axes or crossbows when they idle, which gives them discipline, fighter, and weapon training.
