is there anyway to fix corrupted raws?

I got the brewing bug that doesn't allow you to brew. I've put about 3 hours in this fort and don't really want my time to be wasted. I'm using the lazy newb pack and the phoebus tileset

Download a new copy of the game, install it in a new location (don't overwrite the old installation), install the correct version of the graphics pack, copy your saved game from the old installation to the new installation, then replace the raws in the saved game folder with the raws from the new installation folder.

Or FIRST re-name the current DF file, and then download as normal. THEN copy the old files to the new, see if that works, and then delete the old (re-named) file.
