Wererhino corpse
« on: May 27, 2015, 06:24:14 am »

My fort just had a battle against a were rhino. The corpse however has been sent to my refuse stockpile were I put all of my bones and shells. My question is there any use for this corpse or should I just atom smash it?

Unless pieces where chopped off so they can decay into bones there is no use. Dorfs don't butcher "sentient" bodies, but do still make bone crafts out of unbutcherable bones if the bones become freely available "naturally". Thus, I've made goblin bone greaves, for instance, but they balk at using dwarven bone. Presumably, the horn could be crafted if it has been separated from the corpse.

Yeah, Forbid it and just let it decay and you'll have a nice stack of high-value bones and a skull for your moody Bonecarver dwarf or any Macabre mooder.  Don't know if the horn separates when it rots, tho' that'd be nice to have too.

(Unless you're in a really evil area and there's a chance it might rise again?)
