Please let us pick grass growths in fort mode?

This isn't exactly a bug because it's only relevant with mods, but I do think it's an oversight? In fortress mode, gatherers ignore usable ([STOCKPILE_PLANT_GROWTH]) growths on plants with the [GRASS] token.

The reason this is unfortunate is that not all of the grasses are just grasses. For example, the cloudberry plant is named after its sweet, valuable berries; but when I added berries to the "grass," my gatherers ignored them. I could get them in adventure mode just fine, but not in fort mode.

It would also be nice to be able to plant certain grasses, as well as orchards, and have dwarves automatically clear up designated clay- and sand-gathering zones.

They ignore it for quite a lot of things actually, like various tree nuts.

With tree nuts you can modify the raw to make the nuts pickable - see the Modest Mod link in my signature for an example. That's a matter of growths being ignored because of what material they're made out of.

For grass growths, the problem isn't the growth, it's the grass. There's no way to make a growth that dwarves will pick from grass.
