I suppose I still need to bump this despite not actually being in the country. :\

Just waiting on Role now.

I realise fatigue might be setting in as the game's been going almost 10 months now. I'm thinking of calling an end at Turn 100 and declaring winner which ever side of the Ireland-Britain conflict is most dominant then. What do people reckon?

Greetings from Berlin!
And i'm fine with a turn 100 winner being declared, although at this rate even that might take 2 more months. I would be fine with things being decided now TBH, as it would cut out the rest of the waiting.
i think that the main reason its slowed down so much now is that it is fairly hopeless for the others, and their isn't much for them to do. Even if they do land 50 knights on ireland, all they can do is torch the lands and possibly take a few cities for 1 or 2 turns until the main force can arrive from the mainland.

Bumping for Rolepgeek again.

I'd be fine with that; an all-out war between Ireland and the United Kingdom would probably take months, not counting figuring out who among the alliance would win when they inevitably turned on each other.

In all honesty, this has gone on so long, and has reached the stalemate arms race point with the occasional tipping conflagration that causes everyone to shit their pants, that I'm ready to call it a draw. Ireland won, as an individual nation. I'd rather move on to a new game.

Nothing to do with having to rebuild your army, I'm sure? :P

I'm fine with ending the game now. It was educational.

That was the tipping point conflagration I mentioned. :p It has everything to do with that. I don't want to apend the next six weeks trying to rebuild it only to get steamrolled anyway.

I don't blame you, but I would note that when things looked more bleak vs Ireland, you were asking me to do the same thing for the greater good.

Yeah but that's cuz I'm a hypocrite.

And because we had a plan to take it out together and figured we'd be okay at that point.

Now...now we're in a bit of a worse position, in some ways.

The Dark Age Has Ended

Though their Pictish allies were mostly defeated and the Northumbrians a distant memory, the mighty Irish army held firm against the united forces of Denmark, Mercia, Wessex and Wales. Long live the Emerald Isle!
