Hi,
sorry for my bad english...
What reason could make trade impossible ?
More details :
I have an accessible trade depot, i'm sure my brokker is here ( i see him ) and when i "q" the trade depot, i can hit t.
The problem occurs on the next page : no matter what i select from the seller and what i offer the "t" keeps beeing gray.
I'm trading with the elves so i was afraid my wooden bins could be the problem but when selecting only the stuff inside the bin the problem is the same.
Why is that t gray ?
If i've not been clear enough i'm sure you will ask for more detail, or repeating...

Have you moved any items for trading to that depot? It is [q-g] IIRC to get to that screen, then select some, have trade-goods haulers and give them bit of time.

Yes i did. I have 4 bin full of rock pots here.

a couple of questions:
What version of Dwarf Fortress?
Are you using DFHack? (if you're using one of the starter packs, it probably includes DFHack)
Are you using any mods?

A couple of things that come to mind off the top of my head are:

If you've already offended the trader (too many lowball offers, offering wood to elves, seizing goods), you won't be able to trade that season.
If you've got the goods list filtered by searching (only available with DFHack), you can't trade until you clear the search.

Do not use "o" for offer. That is a gift to the traders civ.  You must select items for trade(with enter, just like on the trader half of the screen) and then the a value of selected goods will be at the bottom.

I think he can't even get to the trade screen.

You have to toggle "Trader requested at depot" and usually it's better to use "Anyone may trade" because the broker might be busy with something else and having the broker do the trading doesn't make much difference as far as I can tell.

If your Depot allows you to change these settings, that means the traders are willing to trade with you.

I don't use DFHack or any mod. And i'm playing with last version (40d or smth like that ? ). But i may have hit "s" by mistake. So this answers to my issue, the seller may be offended. I did not think this would block the "t" that is why i did not mention that.
