Carving furniture on cave walls
« on: March 15, 2015, 09:22:59 am »

As an alternative to carving a table or statue in the mason's workshop, have them carve it directly from the cave walls (just as they would to make a staircase). Maybe this kind of furniture would be stationary and instead of having it deconstructed you'd have to 'mine' it and destroy it in the process. Why not?

Here's a mined out, smoothed room with some of the cave walls left intact:

Now here's a few dwarves carving the walls to make tables and thrones:

So that's basically my idea.
