The Emu has become enraged!
« on: February 24, 2015, 02:14:16 am »

I was bored so I pit all birds I caught so they could "spar".

Then I noticed some interestng facts. Buzzards and other raptors would fight each other, or at least defend themselves. However Emus would not fight back even if they were attacked.
About 2 months had passed when I saw a buzzard corpse. I checked the reports:

My questions are, what makes an animal aggressive and what makes them fight back when attacked?

I really have no idea why that happened, just that it's amazing.

There are many factors, personality among them.  Individual animals have randomly-assigned personalities, you can't see them but some personality traits do affect behavior, including VIOLENT, BRAVERY, and ANGER_PROPENSITY.  The size of an animal relative to the size of its opponent will also have an effect, as will the presence or absence of the LARGE_PREDATOR tag.
