The Rightful Heir...
« on: February 04, 2015, 02:59:53 pm »

There I was minding my own buissness when all of a sudden...
!!BAM!!
Kosoth Claspwax, being the rightful heir, has inherited the position of king of the Silvery Crystal

This is my first ever king and why the heir moved to this hell hole is beyond me

What should I do to this new king?

Was your civ "dead or dying"?  You may well be the last dwarves in the world, and, hey, someone's gotta rule, even if it's your emotionally unstable brat of a carpenter.

Odd that the legal heir doesn't even have a modest bedroom 0_0

My current fort is also home to a king, not the king, just a king. We're not the mountainhome, we're currently a town. We still get caravans, liasions and migrants. Our civ is alive and well, we just suddenly found ourselves having to meet the demands of a king while still being a small village.
It took a lot of clear glass furniture but I just finished getting his rooms to the required level yesterday, just in time for the liasion to offer us a barony.

Do you think if I met the mountainhome requirements I could get a second king? Or would our current one just assume leadership of our civ?

I think there's still just one king. I wonder what would happen if you did become the mountainhome though.

I have disappointing news, the liaison told me this year that "Ber Lensauthor became leader of the Courageous Arena, taking over from his predecessor Sibek Somethingorother". Ber is my king, he's leader of our civ it would seem. Still only a town though.

Also Mansionshank (my fort) would appear to be one of only two forts in the world. Would explain how my dwarf became king. There's not much competition.

Well, liking bracelets doesn't seem too destructive... Pity he's not into weapons though.

It's a pity my baroness isn't into something more useful than the catapult parts she keeps mandating. I really have to start picking out candidates beforehand.
