Cotton Farming

Has anyone actually been able to farm it in recent versions? I'm not finding it on the crop list for aboveground crops at all, and it doesn't appear even if I manage to get myself cotton seeds.

Crops can only be farmed in biomes where they can naturally grow. Cotton's biome specification is "any tropical", so it can't be farmed in temperate climes.

The fibre that's hardest to farm is probably flax, which for some reason is restricted to tropical grasslands and savannas. And sure enough, flax is such a tropical plant that it made it onto the pound coins of the UK, to symbolise the equatorial possession of Northern Ireland, where it was commonly grown :P
