If you could pick the next squire's starting location, would it be...

A southernly port where cultures and norms of society mix and clash with each other?
A westernly city akin to Marienburg, home of current squire in play?
An easternly outpost at the edge of kingdom's borders, a beginning of thisverse's Silk Road?
A northernly fortress where young men prove themselves in combat with giants, wildlings and mystical beasts?
Centre of the kingdom, trapping the young squire in a thick web of decadent court's schemings and plots?

He mentioned the Gods in the sky being . . . Lands? That is strange and doesn't make sense. Or, rather, we dont understand. Land is land and the Gods are Gods. How can Land be Gods? Does that make our Land a God?

Are those lands divine?  We are cleansed! Fully worthy of persuing our own land.  Ask how to get our own new land

"So highly of your people and I understand. But don't you think you are trowing rocks at your house as well as someone elses house?

If your people are vicious then why call me and my people cold and warlike. Personally, I've always enjoyed battle but too much of anything is bad. Which is why I ask questions."

We can be smart ass intellectuals too :D

Can I say no to any actions that seem strangely backwards to our character development?  Yes? No, i can? Ok.

To clarify your position
You are saying that inquiring to our scholarly friend about conquering 'holy' land from the moon and stars is a step backwards.
Because you then would expect for the scholar to provide us a way?  Its in character context, afaic

To.clarify my position, or.character, though showing the care and drive to seek out knighthood, has shown shown j o intrest in conquering other lands, even in the tiniest of measures.  Nor has he been seen to take himself being 'cleaned' as a positive thing. Barely even a negative thing. Just more so as a minor annoyance. So to be seen as using that as a major diving board for conquest seems a bit foreign, forced, and unnatural.

My bet was that he would die in an accident involving two sheep, a step ladder, three balls of twine, and a bucketful of crushed dreams.

"Son, I hate to do this to you. But i request you take care of your mother at all costs. Secondly, Bring our family to power son by way of pure legality. Expand your sons minds and have someone show them the sword.

I hope one day i can look down and see my grandchildren as Higher nobility and even the King looks at them with great respect. While peasants everywhere look to us as a symbol of dedication and strength.

This won't be easy but know that life is not about destinations. If you just live with destinations you'll die doing nothing. Make it a journey like I have for it is the only way to happiness..."

"Fenya my love. I am so sorry to leave you. An I must confess that I have fornicated before i met you. You have the right to know and I have no right to take it to my grave..Feel free to love another for I would never put hardship on a person of such great integrity such as you. Pass that on to our grandchildren. Only you can show them subteltly for Lord knows that was not my suit of armor."

- Final words of Honso Lutz.
