Can anyone confirm if Floor made of blocks does less falling damage than floor made of raw stone? If it only checks the material and it has the same density it could well be equal, right?

Turn all of it into crafts. Dig up a huge room and use stockpile to cover all of the floor with the crafts. Lock the room and never let anyone inside.

I usually end up making golden statues, thrones and tables in a big legendary dining room. Engraving first the walls and then the remaining floor. Then I might make golden statues around the trading post (which I keep behind a complex defense structure btw). Doing all of this in platinum should work. The pros of doing this is also that any statues not being put up can be put inside any whiny nobles room for extra happiness (just pay some attention so the dwarves dont end up doing some vermin statues/engravings that make unhappy thoughts).
