Recent updates give something better than burrows?
« on: December 27, 2014, 11:18:54 pm »

Do the recent updates add anything better than updates? I want an open route to my fortress to get goblins to walk through my traps, but don't want dwarfs venturing outside to pick things up. Obviously burrows are the way to do this, but I was wondering if there was a better way since creating burrows is a pain.

Burrows are still the only way.

Or you can forbid all things outside (d-b-f).

I think burrows are the easiest way to go.  Remember that DFHack can make burrows auto expand for, say, mining minerals.
