Empire of Vampires
« on: December 20, 2014, 10:27:06 pm »

Well I noticed in my previous world (0.40.13), the human civilization The Empire of Stars had a law-giver Thrathdad Peekcrush, who lived for 200 years before she was killed by an elf.

Thrathdad Peekcrush was a human born in 68. She was of unknown parentage.
...
In 107, Thrathdad married Spibsa Fuchsiasinks (69-120). They had 5 children before Spibsa died in 120.
...
In 116, Thrathdad became the law-giver of the Empire of Stars and ruled from The Somber Citadel of The Empire of Stars in Bonesyore.
In the late summer of 125, Thrathdad became obsessed with her own mortality and sought to extend her life by any means.
In 130, Thrathdad began worship Perom Scoopbees.

...
In the late spring of 138, Thrathdad profaned The Cathedral of Shelter in Bonesyore.
In the late psring of 138, Perom Scoopbees cursed Thrathdad to prowl the night in search of blood in Bonesyore.
...
In the midwinter of 150, Thrathdad aroused general suspicion in Bonesyore after a murder.
In the midwinter of 150, Thrathdad laid a series of oppressive edicts upon The Empire of Stars.
...
In the early spring of 242, the human vampire Sana Scaldedsquids fought with Thrathdad. While defeated, the latter escaped unscathed.
In the early spring of 242, Thrathdad ceased to be the law-giver of The Empire of Stars.

...
In 243, Thrathdad aroused general suspicion in Bonesyore after appearing not to age.
...
In the early autumn of 250, the shadow troll Sath Twilightabyss the Fatal Bones attacked Thrathdad. While defeated, the latter escaped unscathed.
In the midsummer of 253, Thrathdad aroused general suspicion in Regalfells after a murder.
...
In the midsummer of 260, Thrathdad aroused general suspicion in Shakenwaters after a murder.
...
In 270, Thrathdad was shot and killed by the elf Vadane Dipbirds the Eviscerated Orange(LOL) in Budsands.

Thrathdad had 701 kills (700 humans and 1 elf).

The human vampire(yes, known vampire) Sana Scaldedsquids was the next ruler of the empire. He was born in 55 and still alive (566). He became the head of their cult in 509.
Sana appeared to be homosexual. He had a husband, Mec Empirebride(LOL).

Sana had 3 notable kills and 902 other kills.

The next law-giver Gulgud was also a vampire. He defeated the old vampire.
In 309, early autumn, Gulgud fought with the human vampire Sana Scaldedsquids. While defeated, the latter escaped unscathed.

Gulgud was struck down by my dorfs.

In 565, early summer, the dwarf Iton Moralracks was drained of blood by Gulgud in Rackhail.
In 565, early summer, Gulgud bled to death, slain by the dwarf Medtob Copperwaters with an adamantine pick in Rackhail.

This vampire was not too impressive. He didn't have any known relatives and kills(except that Iton dorf).

Their new law-giver Vispol Garlicsoar(LOL) was a normal woman and she didn't worship that infamous vampire goddess(yet), instead she worshiped Osmah, the goddess of creation and painting.

Conclusions:

Vampires only arouse general suspicion, but that doesn't prevent them from taking leadership roles. ::)

Thrathdad Peekcrush climbed up a tower of corpses to become ruler; in the end her mistake was to eat an elf, incurring the wrath of the eviscerated orange.
