Retired an adventurer at a retired fort to see what would happen
« on: December 12, 2014, 08:26:09 pm »

I retired my adventurer at my fort, started running up the fort again. My adventurer was in my gem stockpile and was apparently "Hostile". But he was just standing there. I sent my military to kill him, and he died after killing one of my own.

I wonder if I could add him to my fort if I tried talking to the mayor to be a hearthperson or something.

Oh, and I got some dwarf and elf merchants stuck in the underground. Weird. Killed them anyway.

Currently this doesn't work.
Your fortress will run on its own after you retire. So things just happen.
1) Random factions can form.
2) Monsters from underground can teleport into your beedrooms.
3) Random merchants will visit you and be there.
4) Some of you dorfs can go berserk.

Those hostile dorfs are not really hostile, they don't attack you unless you attack them first.

Yeah, the possibility of it seemed too good to be true anyway.

I couldn't find the mayor too, only the guards.

Yeah, and you will find your noble requirements broken. They all show red even if they have all the rooms.

I thought about building 2 forts and switching between them every few years, I guess that plan also goes to shit if too much stuff is broken after unretiring.
