How to hide walls after building new ones.
« on: December 07, 2014, 01:24:16 pm »

Hello, I have a question about the way walls are shown after you mine out a wall and build a new one. I've tried using the search function and only found one thread which was unfortunately not helpful. I was wondering if it was possible to return the tiles that are shown around the wall to the black tiles that are normally there when you have not mined them. I've tried using the DFhack revflood and unreveal command, but I couldn't get it to work. Does anyone know if its possible to do this?

Unless I'm mistaken, it's impossible to hide individual tiles.

I've had success using unreveal for this before so I'm not sure what to suggest. Maybe try using reveal first then unrevealing?

Its a feature. Impregnating booze is a planned tech tree for dwarves and this is a sneak peek at it.

That might result in other desirable consequences.

Abandon and reclaim, then you begin the game having to re-explore the hollow areas like a cavern and won't be able to see beyond constructions unless you take them down.

EDIT: It might work with retiring, too. I haven't tried.

You can edit that with tiletypes.  Use the command "paint h 1" to hide individual tiles.
