Well, once the band is on it won't take long for the nerves to stop working properly due to local hypoxia. Probably still doesn't feel to great - like wearing a tourniquet I'd think.

The surgical testicle removal on piglets, as linked previously, requires a surgical incision because the testicles have not dropped yet.

Pig testes are .. hm... "rather large".. and difficult to band around. They dont "hang" like goat, or cattle testes, so rubber banding with an elasticator isn't an option.

an emasculator/emasculatrome is not the same as an elsaticator at all. An elasticator stretches the heavy-duty rubber bands out so they can go over the scrotum of an animal's testes.  An emasculator has a crushing/cutting jaw that crunches through the vas-defrens.

There are two major kinds of emasculator.

This kind

and this kind

It is quite graphic to see one used.

Mike Rowe has cut a few nuts off using emasculators on Dirty Jobs.

Also if you watch disocvery or nat geo they both have shows about people living off the grid, etc up in alaska and they've all shown it done in its full graphic gore.  Same with the Vet shows on Natgeo and Discovery.
