I have experience running both competitive and co-operative games.   I guess it really depends - do you want a more D&D style co-operative game where players form a unit to solve problems, or a more managerial or single player RPG style competitive game?

Or a 'working as a team on the surface with conflicting goals' style competitive game?

"Working as a team on the surface with conflicting goals" sounds like a good competitive option that probably won't result in too much overhead.

Probably this.

Though, I would like to reiterate that you don't have to run another game if you're not really feeling it. I get wanting to rebuild your reputation and not abandon everything all the time, but forced-labor games tend to not work out very well anyway.

Personally, I'd like to join Lal. I might be forced to go with another team if majority wants to go there and the game is supposed to be cooperative.

I'll go along with whichever one. RPing things I didn't initially want specifically is actually quite interesting.

Excellent.  Unless there's a strong consensus, I'm flipping a coin - and the result came up tails, so Lal's Peacekeepers.  Which means that Kilo and Irony will need to roll up new characters (although the others don't have to play the same).

I'll start the new game within the next week, set one to two years after Planetfall.

Also!  Everyone has one additional skill point.  New chars, build your char with the extra skill point in mind.  Nicolas, Peter, level up one of your skills by one.

ADDIT: I seem to have forgotten to hit post almost a week ago. Here is my new character:

Name: Harold Frederich Smith
Appearance: A thin, pallid man with sharp, angular features. Often described as looking dishonest and cruel at first.
Background: Born in Canada to unhappy parents and picked on for his size, Harold sought out ways of ending and preventing conflict after being hospitalized after attempting to beat back some bullies. His goals changed little in his development, as he began turning his attention to ending conflict on the worldwide scale by uniting all of humanity, and this was a significant factor in his decision to join the Peacekeepers. Despite this, he still enjoys working on the individual scale and has neglected several opportunities to possibly work on a higher scale through politics or law.
Role: Psych Chaplain
Skills: Persuasion II, Psychology II, Stealth I

(If this isn't a good kind of character, I don't mind rerolling. If the focus is on combat, for example, this may not be the best kind of character to have to maintain and write for.)

[OOC: Hey all!  Work had me stuck in a cottage in Linciolnshire with no internet access for the past two weeks, and I haven't even been able to get online to say this much.  Regular updates will continue after boxing day.]
