Free desktop and game recorder with audio?
« on: November 24, 2014, 04:56:18 pm »

I've been searching for a free software that records both desktop and games (Or other applications). I found some, but none of them recorded the audio. I'm not using a microphone, just normal speakers. Can somebody help me?

I think that Open Broadcast Software does it. Couldn't speak to the quality of the actual recording itself, but it's what I use for livestreaming and seems to work okay.

Thirding OBS, make sure you've got the mic settings set up correctly and you should get things recorded nicely :3

Remember to switch on stereo mix in sound settings!

MSI Afterburner can work for this and gives you essentially perfect quality, but the file sizes are MASSIVE and it barely has a UI.

I once used this and this is true. I did a 10 minute recording and it was 25gb or something
