The game is looking neat, I always love me some bugs. Hope that Kickstarter video is going well.

The Youtube videos are missing your social information in the descriptions! Don't want to miss out on those opportunities especially when you mention them.  Also there is a gaming category that your videos should go in so that the right people will find them.

If you need any one to do a video preview I would be happy to make one, I have an itty bitty channel but I can record quality videos. Good luck with everything.

The video is done, our campaign is edited and all texts are written, we are just waiting for the kickstarter staff to approve it.
The goal is to release the campaign next tuesday as supposedly tuesdays are the golden time.. (turns out there is far more activity during dayjob hours on Mon-Wed even for gaming sites, and not on the weekend. Would have totally guessed otherwise before going through the stats)

I'm sure this has been answered and I look like a tool for asking, but will we be seeing a port to android OS? I'd throw my money at it for sure.

Thank you, the prototype is currently running on iOS and MacOS, a port to Windows and Android is planned (and shouldn't be too hard since the core is written in C++ which is completely portable).

You're already the second person asking.
I used Linux for many years myself, so as long as there are people interested into a Linux Port I will make one (shouldn't be to hard since we already plan Android and Cocos2D-X supports Linux).

We are currently editing a FAQ for Kickstarter, one of the Questions will yours and the answer is to just pledge any of the Windows-Desktop Tiers and mention in the survey that you would like a linux-version.

Looks cool! Maybe there could be different castes of ant (fire ants are better soldiers, army ants can invade OR are really good, but dangerous (prone to lash out) workers, etc.)

There will be many different castes, but the game is not done yet (that's why we are having a kickstarter

The default worker is the one you can see in the pictures, the normal type of soldier is already drawn and animated but not in the videos yet. Ranged acid-sprayers and honeypot (living food storage) are discussed.
Leafcutting specialists are another branch. Then there is the suicide bomber caste (which are all just representations of real world ants).
Tiny low-energy-consumption nest-maintenance caste. Really big tank ants. Poison attack ants... I can go on a long time, just a matter of time&money to enlarge the pool.

Long-term idea/goal is the custom designing of new ants with the genes you unlocked, not unlike ship-design and Master Of Orion 2. (head, thorax abdomen and 6 legs are chosen by the player according to need)

You really should have a more interesting topic for this thread. It basically sounds like a totally amateur project right now, so it's not drawing too much attention.

Also consider making a thread over on Other Games, which gets more visibility!
