I just had a bunch of migrants come to my fort, one of them is a competent marksdwarf so I checked his kill list:

Aye.

He didnt actually kill his spouse.  He killed the spouse of a night creature; a previously abducted humanoid who was turned into a new night creature.  the original kidnaps adults and tortures them into becoming monsters for the purposes of babymaking.  They usually live in large families.
