For the past three days Firefox "can't find the server" for DFFD. Since no one else seems to have this problem I figure it's something with my computer/internet, but I'll be damned if I know what: everything else works fine. Any thoughts?

Same here, I can only access it sometimes :/
I try to refresh it every 2 minutes or something, it works sometimes. If you've did that before but it doesn't work after like 10 mins or something, then sorry I can't help :/

DFFD is technically a file-sharing site.  A school IT department that's been gotten militant about copyright might be blocking it categorically.  Probably worth talking to them about it.

I've come to the conclusion that either my ISP is blocking this site or the site itself is only accessible from certain regions. I'm inclined to think it's the latter because my ISP isn't blocking any other site no matter how questionable it's content may be.

I was able to access the site using a web proxy. If you go to http://www.webproxy.net and paste the web address it will work.

It might be a simple DNS problem.
Have you try change your dns address?

For example, I can't access bay12forums and dwarffortresswiki these days without editing my dns ip, because the default dns provide by my isp doesn't resolve them.
