i cant remember NOT being a good reader.

my mom says I used to have a lot of trouble with it and did not like it. no recollection at all.

but whatever. and I stand by saying that the typing aren't that complex. I don't remember half the matchups and I still breeze through most bosses. and if its really that hard for him there is a reason hp restoring items exist.


issues with Gameboy versions is you might not be able to find them...and the bugs.....
and if your kid wants pretty graphics well....no. older ds games are better but still graphics that aren't very pixelated is VERY recent for Pokémon I'm talking 3DS recent. (at least mobile ones, household console games have had great graphics for quite a while.)

speaking of, if you have a GameCube "pokemonXD gale of darkness is good."  if you don't, do you have a wii? they can be used as GameCube's if you have a GameCube controller. (and preferably a memory cartridge.)
