Yes, it's clogging up the board so much there's not even one on the first page.

I'd rather not have to browse two forums to read for game news, because some people don't like that which doesn't bother others. Or should we declare that no game which isn't released on Steam shouldn't be posted in this forum?

That's because the turn-over is relatively quick on the boards; in general there have been a lot of posts about games in early CF (which might never become proper games), and a lot of E.L's posting their kickstarters.

The easy split is: released or upcoming = Other Games, Currently being crowd funded = CF board. Similar to how we have 'Creative Projects' where a lot of people post their early thoughts on games/concepts.

I can see that some people prefer it all in one place though, I'd just prefer it split.

Which is why I don't think this is an actual problem. Someone sees a Kickstarter or two and goes on to make it a BFD, when in reality, it barely affects them or the contents of the forum. I used to come down really hard on advertising here and I still do; from EL's. When regular forum members are linking Kickstarters with good posts, I don't see the problem. If anything they're bookmarks to remind me these games exist.

My Opinion: Don't fix what ain't broke.  Stuff gets shuffled off into the abyss, till it gets reanimated another day.

Technically though... there is this: Creative Projects  I only go there once in a blue moon.

Yeah I'd prefer a sort of general move to keep the early crowd funded stuff in Creative Projects. I've just always felt that Other Games is for games that are either out or will be soon, whereas crowd funded stuff just seems to belong somewhere else.

I don't think there would be a problem with making a thread in Other Games once it was actually funded, but I do understand that doing it this way would make it more difficult for people to find new CF opportunities.
