Fruit vs Wood

Wow... I might be a little slow not to realize this until now: but :o if you chop down trees, you don't get fruit from them... Does anyone thing there might be a way to replant the trees in the new update? :-\

They regrow, which takes a few years to happen instead of days. just be patient.

Also, there is a dwarfton of kind of trees, so you can chop down the ones that does' nt bring fruits and keep the more productive.

I'm already figuring out large orchards with paved roads leaving small squares where you can keep your trees... wondwarful!

Right now I don't know how useful fruit is, except for improving morale around the fortresses. Belowground plots still provide enough food for most peoples' needs. Eventually when farming gets nerfed heavily, it'll be different.

Just makes me look forward to playing Masterwork or Wasteland mods, where farming is severely nerfed by lengthening growing times.
