Paper airplane game
« on: October 20, 2014, 11:07:09 am »

just had an idea for a fun little game
want feed back to see if others would play this

you and a friend sit about 5~10 feet apart
your friend takes a piece of paper and folds it into a paper airplane
throws it to you
you take it, modify it (this could be making it fly straighter or refolding it into a completley different plan)
and throw it back to them
they modify it and throw it back to you and so on and so forth

i think this would be fun

Maybe you should try making something more complicated. While I'm at it: PUNCTUATION AND CAPITALIZATION? EVER HEARD OF IT? WHY AM I ASKING? NO REASON. NO REALLY. I SWEAR IT DOESN'T DRIVE ME HALF INSANE EVERY TIME I SEE ONE OF YOUR POSTS. *twitch*

Fold a paper into the shape of a saucer and whip it at the GM's head as hard as I can.

I'm not mad! But yeah personally it bothers me in the extreme. Also I just realized that this is in general discussion, I thought you posted another FG. Not really sure what this thread is actually for now.

We did some competitive paper plane throwing with friends and the problem is that the paper is structurally weakended after a few refold.

Then surely that's just a natural limiting factor in how far you can modify the plane and it still be any good.

It's too fast of a progression from the stuff I've done before. You get planes that are significantly weaker after only a few throws, so whoever get very early dominance automatically wins. :-\

Depending on what you mean by failure. We got decreased performance after 4-5 refolds.

Honestly, the game of improvised ballista target shooting (using a tent pole, a French barrier and a bungee cord) we had afterward was much more fun.

I would definitely own at that game. Then again, I learned from this book when I checked it out from the library one time. This site has examples of the finished products.
