Two magma Pools?
« on: October 26, 2014, 11:55:43 am »

I embarked on a spot with a magma pool at the surface (the caldera).

I just dug down to the first caverns and discovered a second magma pool located beneath the cavern.  Not a tube but a second caldera in a different location.  Is this normal?

No, they went to Hel, where they lead a bleak existence in cold and darkness. Valhalla is reserved for valiant warriors.

I had one embark with three tubes, one on the surface, two below. Yay magma!

I think the most I have had is 5 tubes - might be mis-remembering, but it was something like that.  One on the surface (never seen more than that on the surface) two in the first cavern layer and more down deeper.

The world map had dozens of volcanos in the area, so it was definitely an area of peak volcanism.

Recently I genned an area that was 1 surface tube, one in cavern 1, and 1 more in cavern 3.  This one was a solitary volcano near to a river and a sedimentary biome.  In other words, anything is possible, just unlikely.
