Aeternus - A Shadow's Legacy [Multiplayer Suggestion Game]
« on: November 17, 2014, 06:29:35 am »

In the beginning, there was the Void. From the Void, came the World - a vast, circular world. Above was the Sun, bathing the land in eternal light. Below was the Moon, casting an faint glow over the land of eternal darkness. From these lands emerged many plants - flora and fauna alike. Those on the world above had purity of light, and those below had purity of darkness. The two worlds existed peacefully, and separately, until from the Void came Skymetal - in the form of two meteors, one from above and one from below. They impacted at the center of the world, causing cracks to form throughout. Through these cracks, the beasts of light and dark could finally meet, though the purity of the purity of their essence was anathema to one another - for light could not exist where darkness lay. But at the center of the world, the meteors had impacted with such force that a great rift was formed - and the light of the Sun and the darkness of the Moon met, forming - for the first time - Shadow.

From this Primordial Shadow sprung forth humanity - the first true fusion of light and dark, maintained by their souls of shadow - a fragment of the great Primordial Shadow that created the species. With the intelligence this shadow granted them, humans quickly expanded to cover the entirety of the world, only stopping when they hit World's End - a vast mountain range that encircled both sides of the world, now known as Aeternus by its' denizens, for beyond the edge lay only the Void - and those who entered it would be returned to the utter nothingness that came before time.

Over time, the Realm of Light and the Realm of Darkness separated once more - while neither was inherently good or evil, they did not trust each other due to lack of contact - after all, the only way to reach the other side was through the many cracks in the world. The influence of Shadow continued to spread, and Light and Darkness could coexist in the Abyss - the cracks between the realms. Eventually, the Realm of Light became mere myth to the Realm of Darkness, as did the Dark to Light. Humanity's power continued to spread, but its' power, granted by shadow, began to wane. Even now, their power is a pale imitation of what it once was, and deep within the Abyss, and at the heart of the world, grew unspeakable horrors of truly immense power. Countless warring between the mighty nations of the world brought down their technology and power, and humanity was reduced to using the Pure Light and Darkness granted to the world by Sun and Moon, the ancient arts that granted them mastery of shadow being long forgotten to the passing of time...

You are denizens of the world of Aeternus. Before you venture out into the world, however, you must answer a few questions...

First, and above all, as a group, are you from the Realm of Light or the Realm of Darkness?

Realm of darkness
Name: Alex Raman
Gender: Male
Age: 20
Appearance: He is extremely pale. He has light brown eyes which are difficult to see because his long hair covers his eyes when not moved, and it reaches to his midsection. He isn't very tall, and is only five foot four.
Personality: He can be extremely patient at times. He is slightly forgiving and thinks about others. When he gets upset or something he wants, he completely changes. He becomes brtual, violent, and selfish. He begins to think only for himself, and his personal gain. He is generally a beast with higher form of thought when he acts like that.

When you were younger, you were attacked by a creature of the realm you inhabit, and barely escaped with your life. What was the creature? It was a dark haired wolf, with eyes matching his.

When you were younger, you found a small shard of skymetal. The metal is extremely valuable, and it became one of your most prized possessions. What colour was it? Green.

What do you want in life? Power greater than all else, to be the greatest and most powerful in all of existence.

What are you willing to sacrifice? I would sacrifice everything i've ever worked for to get this power.

Final question:Yes.
