It looks fun, but a little unpolished.  I'm assuming it'll be better by the time it comes out, but some of the animations and such are a little weak

Yeah, I'm desiring a higher degree of realism in the visuals and the animations. I think that's UT something-other-other. Strange, I remember it looking better in older builds. Still, should be good fun at the right price. And since he's the original brain behind Killing Floor, I'm happy to give him some money.

Necroing with some terrible news.

Quote
I wanted to fill you all in on a bit of news regarding the project : As of about a month ago, Depth was put on indefinite hiatus. The reason for this decision was a combination of things I won't get into too much detail about, but it boiled down to

(1.) Maintaining the project and its staff was becoming extremely costly.
(2.) Aspects of the project weren't "clicking" and needed design love that we couldn't provide it after nearly 3 years of devotion and attachment.

Since all of this probably sounds quite dissapointing, I'd like to stop and mention that depth_isn't_dead. Nobody is throwing out any of the work that
has been done, and the concept (as i'm sure you'll all agree) is one that kicks major ass and needs to get made. If depth can find the right kind of support and direction, I have no doubt that it will rise once more from the murky abyss and bite us all in half with its awesomeness.

P.S Thanks so much guys for all your encouragement and positive vibes :)

It's dead.  Indefinite hiatus is dead as far as I'm concerned.  With Primal Carnage just out and apparently Source Mod Quality, what are we to do if we want to eat some dudes?

Wait until tomorrow. Get Natural Selection 2. Play aliens.

About as close to eating people as we're getting, I guess.

Ancient necro to report on some ancient necromancy.

wwwaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT

It's back, holy shit.  Just been released on Steam.  Seems quite a bit different now, there's two sharks and four divers, only great whites now and the human classes are likewise gone, but it looks like there's unlockable gear instead and different abilities for sharks, point based now like insurgency.

Seems more action-oriented now, doesn't look like there's as much stealth but maybe that's just the trailer.  I can't grab it until I get my debit card, dammit, but I'm putting this out there so we know.  Depth is fucking back

My main concern right now is the same as I had when it first came out, the same I have with all niche kind of games like this.  How long is this going to be interesting?
