Adventure Mode: Hand Cannon Nothing Left to Fire
« on: September 29, 2014, 01:31:38 am »

As the topic implies I have a steel hand cannon and 100 lead bullets and for some reason no matter what I do I just can't use my gun. I've tried as many ways as I can think of to shoot my neat gun but nothing works. I've:
1. Bullet and Gun in hand / same & separate hands
2. Bullet in backpack/ gun in hand
3. Both bullet / gun in backpack
4. Bullet in quiver / gun in backpack
5. Bullet in quiver / gun in hand

Granted I gave up on finding a actual quiver I spawned one via DF hack but I doubt that would have any effect on the out come. How would one go about shooting technology at goblins?

I know next to nothing about adventure mode, but Hand cannon shoots cannonballs.  Pistols and muskets both shoot bullets.

Ah thanks for that, anyways by chance do you or anyone else know the createitem command to make cannonballs? I know it's under ammo (item_ammo) and i've tried a few ways to get it to work like crateitem ITEM:AMMO:CANNON_BALL LEAD 100 and such but it's not going through. It'd be a real pain in the ass to retire, make the cannon balls at my fort thats half way across my map which is pretty big. I'll make the trek if theres no other way but it's a good 30 minutes (real time) walk.

(Also my bad for the double posting, I meant to edit and not quote myself.

You can ignore ITEM there.
