Also, did the damage I took take into account my DR? I have a hard time believing it did, no offense, since Kobolds are small and really bloody weak. 1d6+1 damage(12 Strength) would be the minimum if they're using spears, and that would make these some pretty damn strong kobolds.
No, in the same way that I'm not going to be telling Remuthra how much HP he regens each round. I mean, I
can if you like, but I'd assumed that you can manage that, in the same way as I'd expect people to keep their inventories, AB, saves, &c. at least mildly similar to what they're actually supposed to be. In line with that, I'm not actually going to intentionally skip something like a temporary buff, but if it isn't mentioned at all here or IC or in the appropriate section of the relevant character sheet, I might not notice it.
Heck, the only reason I'm doing rolls for PCs is that it feels like much less of a hassle than a bunch of back-and-forth with InvisibleCastle, not to mention that it makes for less immersion-breaking regarding things like failed spot/listen checks -- though not as much as PMing people whose characters make their checks the relevant info, but again, practicality vs. quality of experience.
That's the biggest downfall of PbP, I think, that it's much harder to create appropriate segregation of knowledge (or quality of presentation) without taking an absurd amount of time for what could otherwise be accomplished with a pencil, some graph paper, and twenty minutes of pre-session prep work.
