It is once said that the world was whole. Prior to the Fall, the world was a technological heaven full of innovation, prosperity and discovery. People spent their times looking for their own specialty and their trade, and contributed to society by sharing their knowledge to the world. They had near unlimited power; the technologies they created saw to that. Materializers existed for whatever whim a person had. Exquisite feasts? Replacement parts? They got it covered. Transport? Nobody really cared anymore; they zapped from one place to the other instantaneously. Skies too gloomy? Change the weather.
Whatever they wished, they got it. But there was a cost to every indignation to whatever cruel divine entity existed out there. This peace would not last long.
Whatever the humans did, it did something far unspeakable to have created something unfathomable and capable of rendering everything existing nonexistent, up to and including concepts and pathways. Humans were lost in their dream worlds; trapped in the horrors they have imagined. People have outright ceased to exist. Entire buildings were duplicated, deleted and or simply turned into a jumbled mess. It was something that shouldn't exist. But it did.
It was once said that this was all true, but right now, it doesn't matter because it's all in the past, if it did ever happen at all. The world you see right now is what's real to you, and the non-existent sky is what you've always ever known.
Whether the story was true or not, hope lies on you, the Junkers - surveyors and prospectors of a time long gone, underneath a sky no longer recognizeable. Walking under the pitch black - and yet lit - sky, under a beating wave of omni-directional heat, you tread onwards to look for a remedy to this situation - to this accursed fate.
On the land you were born, there were three significant disciplines that you've followed. You have tasted each, but you decided to eschew two of the said disciplines, having grown fond of what you're following now. Which discipline did you decide to follow through?
Tao-Sarin Discipline of Erratum EschatologyThe belief of the end of the world; that nothing can be done to undo it, but not giving up at all to try to find a piece of the past to carve a new path in the reality that exists instead of longing for days gone by. Devout followers of the Tao-Sarin discipline are less likely to encounter errors, or if any appears, they are more than likely to be beneficial.
Junker ArchaeologismA standard belief of the Junker guilds, the Archaeologism embody those who would like to research history for history's sake, in an attempt to recreate it and prevent the things that have led to the downfall of the world. Those who follow this discipline devoutly are more likely to find things - good AND bad.
Gut feelings tend to indicate more intense opportunities.PragmatismPragmatists are likely to find practical solutions to every problem to keep existing in today. They do not care what tomorrow might bring - just that they end up to live long enough to fulfill their agendas. Pragmatists tend complete objectives straightforwardly, to avoid incurring any possible penalty or disadvantage. They are less likely to perform risky, long term actions.
