experience from channeling?

I know "dig" experience is 10 a pop, but what about channeling? Is it the same?

Cause I figured I could help train my miners by hollowing out some ground then getting them to channel the surface away for double the xp.

If all things are fair (which is not in the spirit of the game as I understand it) then you only get XP when a tile is hollowed... AFAIK you also only get a possible rock/mineral from a single 'hollowing' too.

But play with it and let us know for sure.  :)
