non-economic rock
« on: May 09, 2008, 10:47:00 am »

ok now I'm going nuts- in a new fortress ("Talkmirror") I can't build anything due to the message "Needs non-economic rock."

Now I have lots of Rhyolite in the fortress, as well as some other things like copper nuggets etc. I've set everything in the stone menu to be usable/green, but it still won't let me build anything out of rock. Also Rhyolite isn't in the stone menu - does it count as "real" stone??

Any ideas?

oh I'm such a dumbass... the mason's workshop was blocked off from the rest of the fortress, I only realised when the dwarf who built it started getting thirsty and not moving outside to get a drink....

It's easy enough to do  :) just got to watch the light green squares on a workshop and make sure they don't bar a doorway.
