It would be very useful if you could command dwarves (perhaps other creatures as well) in the arena like you do in Fortress mode. Say you have an idea for a some kind of minecart contraption; instead of starting a new fortress to test it out, you can instead load up arena mode and build it there without the infrastructure required to run a proper fortress. You could also quickly test modded buildings and reactions without generating a new world.
