my dwarfes(& cats &...  probably the whole game) slow down for like 0.5 seconds.. then speed up very fast.. probably one second later game speed is back to normal

calculation fps cap 100
graphical fps cap 50
Process Priority normal (CPU@6% so it should not matter).
I have a 4 core (8 virtual core) intel i7 and win 8.1.

Something is wrong with my threading/priorization...

I the background there's a steam client, chrome, avast, a lot of nvidia crap.

Yeah I have noticed that too, not all the time but occasionally the game stops for half a second and then goes really fast for half a second once it runs again.
