Is there some sort of event log? Like for the messages that pop up when you're holding w (Or even when you accidentally tap it too fast)?

Thing is, important messages will pop up but I'm skip through them at times. I wish there was a way to go back and just look at any messages you may of missed, if there isn't such a thing already.

you can check the gamelog.txt in the game folder
i think it updates on a daily basis

An in game log would be pretty handy too, but this should work.

Yes, gamelog.txt does this. If there are any important messages that appear in the game, that it neglects to include in gamelog.txt, please post specific information about that here so I can get it fixed.
