I think that this bug has been reported for this version a few times.

Might wanna check the tracker and add it if its not there

Transgender dwarves are already out there, it's just hard to tell because, you know, everyone has beards...

Crusader kings has been doing this for a long time (Queen Richard wants you to respect his life decisions), never expected to see it in DF though.
