Yeah, It really annoys me. From time to time so me dwarf gets ambushed outside by a band of goblins. Not a big problem, the dwarf dies, and I give the order to stay inside.
The last time, a dwarf got ambushed and fled into a tunnel. Some other dwarfs came and got slaughtered. How can I prevent this. It is just dumb that the living dwarves try to pickup the dead dwarves equipment for the price of getting slaughtered. How can I tell them to flee to a save position. I tried to activate them into the military and station them inside. Unfortunately some dwarves then disobeyed my orders and attacked the goblins.  How the fuck do I keep my dwarves alive when they don't have the common sense to do it themselves. -.-

You have to forbid all the equipment right after the dwarf dies.  Look with (k) and then get over the corpse, and scroll through all the items listed and (f)orbid each one.  Just remember to claim them again(same way you forbade them) when the danger is gone.  Or, if the death occured outside, go to the options menu(o) and activate the option "all dwarves stay inside", which will also stop the senseless looting.
EDIT: Whoops, upon re-reading your post I see that you already addressed this.  Oh well, the first part of it is still good.  :p

As for stopping dwarves from doing senseless things...yeah, doesn't happen.  I lost a 1/3 of my fortress population the other day because my only marksdwarf decided that the middle of an ettin attack was a great time to go get a drink, and he didn't arrive at the battle until 5 of my dwarves had already died.  Once he arrived, he did enough damage that only 2-3 others died.  Stupid sheriff.
