An issue with reclaiming the Fortress
« on: August 07, 2014, 11:45:20 am »

So after a thousand and 4 years of world gen, the dwarven empire no longer exists apparently, until now.
I've decided to bring it back and place in a position of prosperity and glory that it hasn't had in this realm. There is a fortress of yore, the last and only fortress that was made by dwarves. It has fallen to ruin, so I am reclaiming it. Now this fort was made in world-gen, and as it turns out, I've found some dwarves down there! Only the game keeps saying "An ambush! Drive them out!" every time I spot them. They're labeled as hostile but all they to is loiter in the halls they were found in. I've found a queen, a baron, and a diplomat so far and they're all "hostile!" Has the game become self-aware and knows that I hate nobles?

Jarloth Steellungs is my current dwarf wrestler, who enjoys breaking everyone's knees and elbows and then working his way down from fingers to toes to ankles to wrists to arms to legs to gouging the eyes. And if he has a knife (though he prefers sharp rocks) he'll remove their ears, nose and tongue but only after kicking their teeth out.

This is a bug and an issue with civ entities. These dwarves are assigned the wrong civilisation, and the game doesn't understand how to make them intergrate into your commanding civ yet.

Kill them and see if a loyalty cascade follows
