So I just started another fortress and I noticed i wasnt getting any iron ores and if the wiki is right its only in the sedimentary layers and my sedimentary layer is only composed of limestone.After the limestone theres no other sedimentary layer.
What can I do now cause I want to make some steel and iron stuff

Sedimentary layers are capable of containing iron ore, but they are not guaranteed to contain it - if you absolutely need iron ore, you'll need to embark somewhere else.

Your options:
- embark on a different place
- order iron from the caravan (ores and bars)
- order iron items from the caravan (anvils, weapons, armor) and melt everything
- wait for goblins and melt their stuff

If you wanted iron ore anywhere, make 10000 embark points and put iron ore with you.
