Can you gain levels in appraisal skill in adventure mode?

Almost definitely not. And even if you could, it's not clear what use it would actually have...

I changed the 'sharp rock' skill from Knapping to Appraisal. I got levels in it, but they don't allow me to see prices when bartering with individuals. Nice Memory boost though.

I am trying to make chickens lay bees as eggs. So far it only produces a single "Tame Small Creature" when a hen lays bees.
Honestly at the time, I didn't see what could go wrong with crowding 80 military Dwarves into a small room with a necromancer for the purpose of making bacon.

Yeah, I thought I could use it for prices during an exchange outside shops.
