Bird popping in and out of the unit list
« on: July 21, 2014, 02:21:48 am »

While I was trying to shoot some barn owls with my military, to try and get rid of them (they do nothing but prevent other wildlife from entering), I noticed that they sometimes fly so high, while fleeing, that they disappear from the screen, and the units list. They're not gone though, they're just flying too high to be considered I guess. They pop back in to the list a few seconds later when they fly back down.

On other news, trying to kill them failed. They flee too fast for my marksdwarves to get close enough to get a shot off.
I hope birds get fixed soon. They deny me wildlife.

Wait, they're flying above the ceiling? That sounds buggy to hell.

It does look like that.
I've just posted another bug on this save, but if you can stand the pathing fail spam that made me report it, you can play with the owls yourself in this save:
http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=9103

just station a squad near it and it will start fleeing, keep chasing it and it will pop out of view, and the unit list. Wait a bit, and it'll be back.
