Item worth fixes?
« on: July 16, 2014, 12:22:49 pm »

Just a quick one, I tried to find info on it but didn't manage.

I just wondered if Toady had gotten around to normalizing some of the item worth values (large serrated disks for instance) for this version. I know there are mods about that sort all of this kinda thing out, but I just wondered if anyone knew if Toady had sorted them out at all yet?

"All"?  Certainly not.  But prepared meals have apparently have their trade value nerfed.  You can do some science to compile a list, if you are so inclined.

I doubt trap components are. I haven't seen values for metal things like serrated discs, but I know that spiked wooden balls are still valued at least a few hundred a pop, just like the previous version. Given the massive amount of wood available now, I've got my Woodcutter/Carpenter keeping busy in the Carpenter's Workshop instead of outside clear-cutting.

Urgh glad to hear at least prepared meals are down, but I was sincerely hoping that we could have gotten most things down to reasonable values. It just seems to make the whole trade thing irrelevant if you can just make 50 spiked wooden balls and clean up every wagon.
