See how much weapon training one can get if these dwarfs just use their weapons more often? What an opportunity to fake-knockout your spar buddy!

It's a known bug that training military dwarves will not use weapons, and instead favour their bare fists.

Live training is the way to go, drop war dogs on them and leave them locked in a 1x1 room until they start fighting.
