I decided to play DF again since v0.32 or something (downloaded Lazy Newb Pack with 0.40.02 and copied 0.40.03 overtop).

I embarked, followed the embark tutorial, made sure all my dwarves had the right jobs assigned etc. but they wouldn't haul my crap from the wagon to the stockpile.

I abandoned the fortress, embarked again and the same thing happened.  They won't haul anything anywhere! (I think they hauled like maybe 1 barrel, I also set wheelbarrows to 0)  Now I broke down the wagon they won't even meet at my assigned meeting place they just run around climbing trees!  Argh!
The farmer plants seeds, the miners mine out the tunnels but no one will haul or meet at the meeting place and they're all idle.

It's been like this for like 5 hours I've been trying to find a solution, does anyone know what is going on?

Fresh install.

Also make sure hauling labors are enabled. A carpenter won't haul wood except to... carpent... With it. Or furniture.

Thanks for the advice, no idea what was the problem but re-unzipping 0.40.03 and copy/pasting it into LNP wiped my generated world/save and fixed the problems
