Send the magma missionary to them in return then if that is a better answer. All it wants is to make peace between magma and elves.

In the fort of my dreams it'd go a little something like this...
Mayor: "No, thanks. We are a firm believer in Osna Blackclaw, the Wealth of Fires."
Elf Missionary: "Osna Blackclaw, the Wealth of Fires? I've never heard of this dwarven god. But, why does the name sound so familiar?"
The drawbridge begins to shudder and raises behind the elves with a great deal of noise. As they turn around to see where the noise is coming from, the mayor runs away into the safety of the Fortress, behind yet another drawbridge.
The Dwarf yells out from within,"Did I mention that our god is 1,854 years old, breathes fire, and is super pissed his mate was killed by an elf in the year 1,264?"
As mechanisms whir and rumble, as two hidden stone doors slowly open to reveal two large glowing reptilian eyes surrounded by darkness. As the eyes ascend higher into the darkness, the sound of air being inhaled deeply is heard, and as flames begin to flicker around the mouth of this "god", the elves realize all to late why the dwarves of this fortress always say, "Your faith is better placed into yourself than a god, unless that god is a giant ancient fire breathing lizard that can devour you whole."
